Things are about the same, but I know those of you reading this are all just waiting to know how things are going. There's really nothing new, except that Misty's slowly fading. She's breathing, but that's about all. She mumbles from time to time, but is mostly incoherent. From time to time, Misty will open her eyes and reach out, muttering something unintelligible. We tend to believe that she's seeing and talking to the spirits of people who are close to her and her family. We know that Misty is barely hanging on to life. We think the time she has left with us can be counted in days, if not hours.
Thanks to all who have showed up to visit Misty and called to express your love to her. Thanks for the help in taking care of the needs of my family, so that I can spend these final days and hours by Misty's side. Thanks for the prayers. Thanks for everything.
----
It occurred to me that perhaps Misty has already received the greatest miracle of all. I thought of this brief passage of scripture today:
"And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?"

Wes,
Know that there are countless of us that pray for your family and think of you oft, even though we haven't come to visit. I know at times you're probably overwhelmed with help and other times wish for it. Please know that the lack of my presence is no indication of how I feel. My heart has been torn knowing the pain that Misty has gone through this past year, not to mention the emotional rollercoaster your family has gone through. Know that I'm just a phonecall away.
All our Love,
Terry Holden & Family
You are all are in my thoughts and prayers. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult this has been on your family. Misty is a sweet spirit, and I have no doubt in my mind that when the time comes, though it will be hard for us here, she will be pain free and be with those loved ones that have passed. It is my testimony that I know she will be with her loving Lord and Savior and be at peace.
God bless you and your family.
Love,
Erica (Simmons) Peacock
Praying and mourning. I love your sweet family. Misty is so dear- she is an example of faith and enduring to the end!
MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. I KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH AS I HAVE LOST MY BROTHER AND 2 FRIENDS TO CANCER. MISTY WAS ONE OF THE FRIENDLIEST OF ALL TO WELCOME US TO GAINESVILLE 12 YEARS AGO. SHE WAS SO CARING AND LOVING. YOU ARE ALL IN MY PRAYERS.
LOVE TO ALL,
VICKIE GANN
Wes,
Your family is always in my prayers. I empathize with you; I know this "rollercoaster" is an emotionally draining ride. Remember the words of the Lord, "Search diligently, pray always, and be believing, and all things shall work together for your good, if ye walk uprightly and remember the covenant wherewith ye have covenanted one with another."
D&C 90: 24
Be faithful and rely on the Lord and he will give strength to continue your mission here. Misty possesses great stability and vision; she will share it with those who need it on the other side.
May the Lord bless and be with you , Misty, LeAndra, Paris, and Cru!
Warmest love and regards,
Mark Peterson
